WikkiD- your dead on. Statements like "I can't tell you what I know, but I'm smiling," are just wrong. You will also notice the built in deniability in it. as in "Hey, I didn't say it was going to make you smile, but I sure got a chuckle."
Them getting angry when they are questioned raises a lot of red flags. Every scam artist I have ever known behaves that way. We could stand to have a board that's free of that.
