ATT has revealed that 40% of the first 1 million direct inquiries came from non-ATT customers. To be generous, perhaps round up to 50%. So what would be the impact of 500k new subscribers on the market share figures? Negligible.
Then again, with Verizon expected to pass by ATT/Cingular in market share this current quarter, I'm sure ATT/Cingular will be scrapping for every bit of share they can scrape up. The iPhone should be good enough to temporarily stem the ATT/Cingular bleeding in that regard.
well, i'll be adding T but i won't be eliminating VZ just yet. i have a family plan w/ VZ and that'd be a back breaker w/early termination fees so i'll maintain 'em for a while.
