IP, Re: tell me why not to buy Athlon64 notebook instead of Centrino? Centrino has Performance?
I've said so before. I don't like those high power DTR notebooks, and I know plenty of others that feel the same way. Athlon 64 is competition against the Pentium 4 laptops out there. Centrino is still in a class of its own.
By the way, the performance of Centrino is fairly competitive with Athlon 64. Still maybe 15% behind in some tests, but even in others. I'll take the small performance tradeoff to have the lower power, lighter weight, longer battery, and thinner design.
