Brian is right, they want of copy of your brokerage statement showing that you own shares.

Like I said before, that is a bunch of crap to ask you for that. If you wanted to check the structure before you bought in, you couldn't. If they still wouldn't tell you knowing that you didn't own shares but would potentially like to, then I would run, fast!
