#62934 RE: Casprs1 #62925

No need to thank me, but thank you all for doing so. Our job is sometimes unappreciated by those that have "no clue". I have been in for 20 years with a few more to go, it's not time to get out yet. I have been over to the Gulf twice and went down to Somalia. I have been to GREAT ports all over the Western Pacific and even the Gulf area. (It's true what they say about Australian women) :o) I am currently on "Shore" duty, invloved with training the "New" sailors in the art of performing maintenance on the Navy's new F/A-18E/F Superhornet. I am transferring in 6 months to the place all Sailors need to be, Sea duty!!! I will be deploying in early '05 to hopefully a less hostile Gulf region, while transiting the lovely Mediterranean ports of call along the way! Then it will be time to prepare to live MY life in the fashion that I see fit. I LOVE what I do, and for whom I do it for. THIS IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON THE PLANET!!! But I do not need to tell you that. You never appreciate what you have until you see how others in other countries live. Be grateful for what you have and the people who are willing to give up some of thier freedoms to provide you that right. There is really no need to thank me, but again, it IS appreciated. My thanks comes from having the right to meet people I will most likely never meet, have an open and free forum to give our own individual opinion, without the fear of persecution.

Next time you have an adult drink, raise your beverage and say a toast to the others that cannot post on this or any other board! Those that are gone, but NOT forgotten! And those that will be returning home soon!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! & The Subbers!!! WE ROCK!!!!!!!!!
