Isaiah...I struggled with the Walrus post for the same reasons as you, I believe. When he says 3/4 he means 3 to 4 million, not $750,000. At least I think that is what he means. We can all hope, but again, I will believe it when I hear it.

Gipper...thanks for the HomePlug info, but I think I understand why TKO is involved in the MDU and commercial sphere of the business. Or at least with my limited ability to understand anything technical I believe I understand. I have no doubts that TKO's tech is superior for these types of properties.

What I don't get is the argument that it isn't economically feasible for a residential property when structured with a partner already with access to the home (ie. a new residential development with a contractor/subcontractor partnership such as Pulte, Toll Brothers, or Meritage, or with a DirectTV or cable outfit delivering high speed internet connections).

Does TKO take the position that they can't make money in pursuing these relationships? If so, how in the world can they make money outfitting a measly 100-room hotel?

As I said, I'm typing this on my laptop run through a wireless connection to my cable internet connection. But, in looking at my wireless connection as I type this, my signal strength is low. It goes out every once in a while. I have to reboot the whole wireless system once in a while. I don't suppose I would have these problems with a TKO connection.

I think I understand why TKO wouldn't want to market to the individual consumer alone. But, why not at least attempt to forge relationships with companies that already have access to those residential consumers. As I said, if the company that built my home offered me such a product, I probably would have snapped it up. Instead, they offer a cable and phone outlet in every room. Big whoop...everyone does that. Give me something from the 21st century and I would be impressed.

Anyway, only three posts a day doesn't get me very far, and this is already one for Wednesday, so I'll need to post sparingly on CC eve.

Isaiah you are correct on your math, too many people throwing
around too many numbers. The only thing that is true is when we hear it from RP himself. That is if there is a CC. The CC hasn't been confirmed yet as far as I know...
