Yea, I was still thinking of Bayview when I penned that. Since I'm older than you, I can remember when it was built with a Kresge's I believe. You had to go all the way to the next mall, which was Northtown south of Finch to find one with both a Kresge's and a Woolworth's.
Colleen taught at Bayview for quite a long time. She was one of my best friends in High School, but died in 89 from cancer at the age of 40. She started a programme at the mall which helped teens with extra help and found them part time jobs with the retailers of the mall.
But the mall isn't the biggest travesty, that's sitting across Yonge Street. The day the old and original Harveys' chucked the Barbeque grill for a gas one before the rebuild. That was the Hill's biggest travesty! <GG>
