I agree with most of your post. With regards to the brand, keep in mind that the consumer buys a complete PC, not just the processor. As such, the percent price delta they see is lower than for just the processor. It just turns out most of the delta goes into Intels pocket. I do think AMD has made great strides in improving AMD brand value, and as such should begin to see some improvement in gross margins. We will see.
