Impressive temp drops after removing IHS.

The problem with removing the IHS is you run into a real risk of cracking the die, AMD will not give you a New CPU if you remove the IHS and ruin it, same goes for intel ; IHS is just as much for protecting the die from those massive heatsinks as it is for heat transfer.

Too me this just means they have that much more headroom in the future. All they have to due is up the clock a bit and change the paste on the HS.
