lowman,

"This is why I prefer companies with very strong fundamentals...they are much easier to 'defend', making the mod position an easier one to handle."

Defending a company is not the role of the mod. The Mods' job is not to evaluate the truthfulness of the content of a message, merely whether that content, negative or positive, conforms to TOU.

"Quit allowing lies and deceptions to remain posted."

Again, it is the other members of a board who determine what is truthful and what is not, whether the content is negative or positive, not the Admins or Mods, whose sole job is to determine whether or not the message complies with the TOU.

Simply put, the powers-that-be evaluate behaviour, not content.

"Often, I simply do not like the role of mod."

Are you sure? You moderate over 180 boards.

Someday hopefully, Mod Squad will start showing some cajones and stand up for the more popular, bullish-natured INVESTOR, and quit giving so many rights to the deceptive, thieving basher. Hell with 'laws' and rules. Do what is RIGHT!!! Quit allowing lies and deceptions to remain posted.

I don't understand why this is so hard for you to understand,
but Admin and the mod squad could care less whether a poster is bullish or bearish.

We cannot and will not attempt to determine whether a poster is posting the truth, or lies.

As long as the post does not violate any TOU, it should remain available to public view.

For one, I have spent almost as much time restoring posts that were not violations of the TOU that moderators like you were removing, than I have removing posts that were off topic, and that should have been removed by the moderators.

In a lot of cases, it was the moderators that were posting off topic posts to each other.

If you did your job as a moderator we wouldn't need Admin or the mod squad.
