basser, I don't think it matters whether you buy MAE.to or MNG, if you are purchasing in US dollars. In fact you would probably be ahead purchasing MNG, due to losses via the exchange mechanisms.

How does one buy MAE.TO with US dollars? I don't think it can be done without converting the dollars into loonies.

Through Penn Trade, I have to convert my USD to loonies when buying stocks in Canada. Therefore, if the Canadian dollar gains another 20% on the USD, I'll get back 20% more US dollars when I sell the stock and convert it back to US dollars even if the selling price of the stock is ubnchanged from where I originally bot it.

I do not think the AMEX price vs the CDNX price properly reflects the variances in the conversion values.
