I have to disagree with your assumption which is what it is. YOU assumed you you knew what the yields were for 45nm. Based on some half baked logic that was fundamentally flawed. This is what got you thumped here... Just because INTC is building a fourth a factory to make 45nm chips has no basis in reality that the main motivating reason was poor yields. This is very week argument IMHO. You will have to do better than that in the future.

There must surely commentary reflecting on this "common knowledge" then. Or did your alleged huge step backward for Intel (having to retool an additional entire FAB at $1.5B because of 45nm manufacture-ability issues) go unnoticed by all the analysts?
