Generic articles talking about process difficulties at each node does not mean Intel haven't licked these problems. If there is something which has remained constant through the decades it is Intel's process prowess, it really is something you can take to the bank unlike their design decisions at times ;-)..

Have you read any direct references to Intel's 45nm being poor yielding anywhere ?
