You're not suggesting that AMD was originally intending to bring up 65nm on 200mm wafers but changed to 300mm "so they needed to qualify a completely new toolset to qualify"?

At the time of AMD's announcement they fully intended for 65nm to be on 300mm wafers. They were 1.5 years late because they were working the bugs out of the design and the process. Don't make it sound like they're just starting to address these issues now.

I see you weren't expecting 65nm out of AMD until Q1'07. Did you think AMD was lying or just unrealistic when they claimed mid-2005?

What do you thing about their 45nm claims?
