sortagreen -- well, yes, that of course being precisely the point -- really no different and no worse than the stuff she's been dishing recently (as per the linked columns), just aimed right back at her by a guy with his own way with the language who's flat out had it with her stuff -- as have I -- right on the money, and richly deserved, imo -- and 'goddamn Dumbo ears' -- c'mon, I think you have to admit that was funny -- or not -- I thought it was in any event, whatever that says about me -- . . .

I acknowledge that that one is right up against the line -- at least there's no use of the 'c' word, which as I understand it is the one reference women find particularly disrespectful and offensive -- I would have demurred if I'd seen that

and I agree that, in general, items as unreservedly blunt in the use of language as the rude one's are best brought here to make points only very sparingly -- but, every once in a while, . . . -- along that line, and fwiw, only once by me and only three times overall that I can find had the rude one been posted on this board before 'goddamn Dumbo ears' -- each time absolutely nailing a significant target entirely fairly singled out, imo:
