That's insane... I pay $10 to buy.... $15 to sell... with Tradefreedom up here in Canada. There are likely even cheaper brokerages in the U.S.

I hate to say it but your handle fits if you pay that kind of ripoff prices to play in the PINK land...Even Schwab bounces in between $9.95 and 12.95 for me....depending on how many transactions I have per quarter...
Look into Ameritrade...
Barron's on line....
Schwab is decent...my only experience...
ETrade...

Go to TDAMERITRADE AND GET buy or sell regarless of how many shares for $9.99 each trade...I have never had a problem with them and can use all the tools they have and manage my account real time..

I pay $14 per trade with Bank of America, regardless of ## of shares.

If I want to buy/sell more than 100,000 at a time, I have to call it in, but online, 100k or less is $14.00.
