Bombardier/EBACE 2007: Echo Aircraft Company Signs for Global Express XRS Jet Wednesday May 23, 3:16 am ET
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--(MARKET WIRE)--May 23, 2007 -- Bombardier and TAG Aeronautics today announced the signature of a contract for an ultra long-range Global Express XRS jet by Echo Aircraft Company Limited. Based on the list price for typically equipped aircraft, the transaction is valued at approximately $49 million US and is scheduled for customer delivery in the fourth quarter of FY07/08. The Global Express XRS jet will replace Echo's current Bombardier Global 5000 jet and will be managed by Executive Aircraft Services of Beirut, Lebanon. This is the fifth new Bombardier business jet purchase by Echo and its associated companies over the last 10 years. All aircraft have been based and operated in the Middle East region.
