My girlfriends sister is resposible for the engine mapping on the fuel cell vehicles and just left for germany to do mountain descent testing testing on the fuel cell car which is something they are having horrible problems with. The problem with fuel cells and electric cars is that they may work ok for passenger vehicles however they cannot produce the power needed for any sort of utility application like Tractor trailers, large buses, heavy trucks, etc. They key to our future is to make fossil fuel vehicles much more efficient and to cut down all fossil fuel based electirc production and switch over to other methods like nuclear, helium-3 (which is really what the race back to the moon is about, I suggest everyone read up on that), localized wind and solar, hydro, etc. The vehicles will need fossil fuels for my lifetime at least and I think torvec has the best technology to date to make sure we can most efficiently satisfy that truth.
