I am in complete agreement, the job that this company has done possitioning itself to get fair market value for their technology and proove its technology at the same time is impressive. They are effectively creating a customer base before going into production on a mass level. These customers also represent the absolute vangaurd of the industry. NASA is buying and testing IVT's and diffs, race teams are testing and buying diffs, whoever is going after this "production contract" which we can only assume is somehow military related, is purchasing and testing CV joints. These products are being run through the gauntlet in terms of difficult applications and are at the same time creating a customer base. The Chicago and bus programs are also creating another customer base. This allows for two things 1.) A company looking to purchase Torvec can evaluate these customers as assets 2.) We are getting to the point where Torvec's customer base and potential order magnitude enables Torvec to go into production themselves. The second point is most important because it is my feeling that many of the potential purchasers are waiting Torvec out because they don't think the company has the ability to go into production and therefore become a threat. This puts large companies in a do or die purchase mode, and if TOVC is in production at that point you can bet that the price will be way higher. Most tier 1 suppliers would rather buy the company than compete with but they will be paying a premium if they wait too long. If Torvec ends up with some more orders I can garauntee you that a lending institution will follow in and get a factory off the ground. I think the reality is that this thing is moving faster than anyone really knows.
