If they have cash in excess of their needs Why not?

As far as contractors, consultants ets. dumping their shares -- they will dump their shares as soon as the stock moves up for whatever reason (if they wanted to) regardless the buyback program.

If this buyback program reduces Brian Fox's bonus this will be really great -- I am on the same page with you.
