High impacts appears to have more staggering potential here than even I would have ever thought possible. I kind of thought as HD, Fragile X as niche disorders... could there be a wider application to other forms of retardation? I had never thought about it, but if what LTP is enhanced then, to one degree or another, brain efficiency is also enhanced, so any form of retardation might be enhanced: The Flowers for Algernon hypothesis, although hopefully it won't end like the movie.
