The DOS/Windows file system is loosely based on Unix file systems (and the Unix file system is adapted in Linux). Most of the commands have equivalents there. Two things to note:...

Thanks for the input. With a cursory look at the commands they do seem more powerfull in many ways than DOS. I wish I had more time to delve into them. Perhaps over the holidays things will slow down a bit?
I'm supposed to be retired???
