this just happened with some other company (forgot who). they "got" an offer for like 3Xs the PPS. pps shot up on news to near the "buyout price," then dropped off. Few days later they got a higher "buyout offer" and it creeped up again before retracing once agian. can be used as a scam to dump shares into a bogus buyout induced run.

buyer beware.
