Thank you for your candor.

It is disheartening to observe a company "piss away" a obvious market opportunity.

It is important to make the following distinction: qode is alive and well, it's success just won't -- and probably can't -- be shared with the traditional retail shareholder base.

Let me put it this way -- there is no way in hell I would install qode on my cellular phone. Not that I have anything to hide, I'm just a stickler for personal privacy rights.

______________

If they end up "pissing away" this opportunity as you say, it won't be the first time that a small company got the timing wrong when trying to introduce a product into a market. The thing that is somewhat unique about this whole scenario is that the IP is no good without someone who knows how to use it. Companies with money are not going to be able to do anything with this product if they don't keep some faction of the original nucleus intact. What that means is for sure debatable but I am sure you know what I am implying. Solvency and liquidity are not terms to be thrown around lightly and that is why Neomedia kept minor interests in the subs. You cannot dissolve what you don't own and without the subs, Neomedia is not worth nearly as much. Therefor, whomever decides to take control of Neomedia will still have to run it similarly to how it is being run right now, albeit a whole lot more efficiently. Again, in my opinion.

As far as installing Qode on your phone, that is your prerogative but keep this in mind... Qode is user interactive and activity must be initiated by the user not the advertiser. That, in and of itself, is a revolutionary product that should be lauded by all whether it works or not. Qode is akin to being able to skip the commercials in network programming. I guess few realize what the full ramifications are of such a product. The advertisers are going to have to work extra hard for our business since we get to initiate the contact. Doesn't that make you feel the least bit powerful. It should. Instead you feel intimidated and threatened by what you say is an intrusion into your personal privacy. You should learn more about this technology. It is right up a right to privacy advocates alley. In my opinion.

ASCN...privacy and qode? Next time you log on to your computer, firewall or not, nortons or not, your privacy is potentially compromised.

Id rather absorb that risk via a mobile phone than my PC harddrive.

LOL...

Sorry, but you have a lot to learn about what constitutes an encroachment on your privacy.

For the rest of us reading: Let's put it this way... your supermarket, phone service provider, and credit card company know waaaay more about you right now than Qode ever will. Qode is no more or less an invasion of privacy than the web browser you are using right now.

In addition to the 3 other excellent replies to this post,
qode give the user the OPTION to turn off any or all identifiers.
(Did you already know that?)
