+2.00 from the open? I doubt it. That's not a 10% intraday runner IMO. I say it closes down slightly from the open. Trouble is there's no raised guidance - gotta have the raised guidance for a biggie play.
The company said its earnings per share can't be compared to the 2006 period because new stock was issued in the third quarter of 2007.
Revenue rose nearly 2 percent to $1.68 billion from $1.66 billion in the third quarter of 2006.
Identical-store sales, or sales at stores open for at least a year that have not been remodeled, rose 1.6 percent for the third quarter, the company said.
The increase, the company said, was due to increases in the average "basket," or the price and number of items bought by the average customer.
The number of actual transactions fell 2 percent.
