I've been using Interactive Brokers for over 6 years. Quite a few markets available from around the world as well as futures trading.....gold,silver, oil, nat.gas,bonds and currencies. Mini-Agriculture electronic futures contracts coming soon too.
Never got into shorting the sub $1 stocks though. There are lots of nice parabolic charts it seems in pennyland....and when those charts "break down" the returns on being short pennies seem quite ludicrous.
IB had a very interesting and well set-up "financial advisor" type of account where you as an advisor can get paid monthly expense fees and % performance bonuses to manage up to 15 separate accounts. Seemed pretty amazing that the software was all set up with IB for someone to go in to that business if they could find the accounts.....good training ground for future hedge fund managers. LOL!
