Geologix extends gold zones, plans drilling for June

2007-05-10 05:47 MT - News Release

Mr. Dunham Craig reports:

SAN AGUSTIN, MEXICO: GEOLOGIX INCREASES STRIKE OF ZONE 4 BY 100 METRES, EXTENDS NE GOLD TREND IN ZONE 3 BY 700 METRES, 4 KM OF TRENCHING BEGINS, DRILLING SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 07

Geologix is pleased to announce that it has received the analytical results for the last three diamond drill holes of the eight drill hole (2,700m) program completed earlier this year.

President and CEO, Dunham Craig, stated "We continue to be very pleased with the results from our Phase 1 drilling program with the extension of Zone 4 gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralization and the continuation of the gold bearing NE structures in Zone 3. Drilling has confirmed our geological model and indicates that the mineralizing system is of sufficient size and potential to warrant accelerating our plans to continue aggressively exploring the project. The potential size of the mineralizing system has justified the company's plans to spend an additional $1 Million dollars over the next 4 months to continue trenching and drilling the multiple zones identified in our Phase 1 program."

ZONE 4

Drill hole SA-101 targeted the on strike extension of previously identified mineralization in Zone 4. Results indicate a significant increase in strike potential by extending the zone 100 metres northeast of previous drilling (Map1),(Map2) and (Map3). Currently Zone 4 gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralization is identified over an area of 250 metres by 400 metres and to a depth of 200 metres. Zone 4 is open to expansion along strike and to depth.

ZONE 3

Drill holes SA-99 and SA-100 (Map1) were targeted to test trench results in Zone 3 that indicated high grade precious metal bearing veins, breccias and structures seven hundred metres northeast of the Main Zone (see previous press release dated March 02, 2007). The area is marked by numerous historic workings, some of which were intersected in the drill holes. The results are listed in Table 2 and include, but are not limited to drill hole SA-99 intersecting 1.85m grading 1.05 g/t Au and 11.2 g/t Ag located adjacent to a 2.45m interval of old workings and drill hole SA-100 intersecting 2.15m grading 5.65 g/t Au and 411.15 g/t Ag (37.85m to 40.0m). The drill holes support the geological interpretation of the Main Zone mineralization continuing to the northeast along the postulated northeast trend. The company is pleased with the results from this initial work as it is the first modern recorded work in the area and significantly opens the target area for either high grade vein type targets or bulk tonnage type targets on strike.

Trenching of approximately 4 kilometers total length has commenced on the project and drilling is scheduled to resume in June 2007.

About San Agustin

The current inferred resource at San Agustin is 11.22 million tonnes averaging 0.96 grams per tonne of gold and 12.86 grams per tonne of silver (346,000 ounces of gold, 4.6 million ounces of silver). For particulars of this resource see Geologix's news release dated August 29, 2006 and its resource report entitled Technical Report on the San Agustin Property, Revised dated October 10, 2006 prepared by James A. McCrea, P. Geo., both of which have been filed on SEDAR. . The Company's President and CEO, Dunham L. Craig, B.Sc., P. Geo., a 'qualified person' for the purposes on National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Properties, has verified the data (including sampling, analytical and test data) and prepared or supervised the preparation of the information contained in this new release.

The Company has implemented a quality assurance and control (QA/QC) program to ensure sampling and analysis of all exploration work is conducted in accordance with the best possible practices. The drill core is sawn in half with half of the core samples shipped to ALS Chemex Laboratory Services Limited in Vancouver, British Columbia for analysis. The other half of the core is retained for future assay verification. The Company QA/QC policy includes the chain of custody monitoring, insertion of blanks, standards and duplicates in the initial samples submitted. The laboratory provides an additional internal control program.
