I'll have to look back and see when news of those activities was known to all us retail shareholders.
The timing of just those two is very interesting ... all of us here knew that NEOM stock would probably go down towards the end of the year due to tax loss selling to lock in the losses for tax purposes. It was even speculated that a lot of that selling could be out of the way well before the end of the year so that those so inclined could buy back in very early in the new year before any post-tax-loss-selling relief rallies kicked in.
Yet Neomedia in its infinite wisdom picks a date to do that deed on (11/28?) which was the lowest price so far all year, requiring the most shares to be issued. What news popped the price up on Day 7? I'd have to look.
On the second instance you note, it was the NYT article that engendered a little bit of excitement which IMHO was manipulated into a much bigger price pop than was warranted. No point in speculating whether or not the fact that story was coming out had anything to do with the timing, but folks were interviewed for the story, so they knew in advance it was coming out.
Interesting stuff to say the least, thanks. And I hope you're right about not breaking far below .04, although it's those rungs that seem awfully slippery.
