old investor: "now that a stock is only worth what someone is willing to pay for" That has it's element of truth. But its BS in the context you are implicating. It is only absolutely true if your intention is to sell it right now. A company can be worth many times it's current price. Otherwise no one would ever invest if we made our decision based on what someone is willing to pay for it NOW. But if you want to make your investment decisions on whether to buy or sell based on the current price only GLTY. Or did I misunderstnd your point?
