During the last conference call, half of the opening statement was obliterated by people joining late and announcing their name over Howard trying to deliver the financial results and future outlook. They should block people joining late. I think AT&T can do that if requested.

A solution to this would be

submission of written questions in advance of the CC.

This would give Howard the opportunity to duck the tough ones and capitalize on sentient answers to the soft,fuzzy ones.

This solution is used by many companies today and at least gives shareholders the appearance of having a voice in their company.
