#1697 RE: dontbothermec #1696

Ted/Anne, If they throw that party again after you two split the grand prize on this one I think I'll get in if there's any energy remaining--a close question there. My strategy--which might end my participation quickly--would be to choose a single, qualified issue that showed some indication of a quick increase. That could be one of Cramer's pumps and its short-lived effect or any indicator--technical or substantive--that foresaw a quick move.

I would put my entire stake on that issue and sell it immediately when it immediate rise slowed. I'd then repeat the process until the contest ended. Hitting on this parlay for as long as the affair continued would be very chancy, but if it worked the prize would be great. If it didn't, well, I was playing with house money anyway. Faint heart ne'er won rich, ugly dame.

[Somehow the affair at VaTech has taken a lot of steam out of me. I don't pay attention to media-published opinion but one cannot avoid absorbing the flavor of it if he reads the straight news as carefully as I do, but what seems to me coming out of this (or evidenced by it) makes me truly worry about the future of the Republic as we know it. What I detect is a timorous, even cowardly reaction that allows no room for acting in one's self-interest. It seems that it took only 3-1/2 years for the spirit motivated the passengers of Flight 93 to disappear. Imagine those young, presumably strong, young men standing passively and allowing that murderer to do his thing. If even one of them acted aggressively toward the guy, his scheme might have fallen far short; if another few young men had followed suit it would have ended.

[To date I've detected only one case in which an award for bravery would be warranted. A 76-year-old professor who had personal experience of life and death under tyranny gave his life--apparently without second thought--so the students might escape through the windows. Apperantly not one of them helped him.

[Together with other manifestations of our will at a national level I believe my concern is fully warranted.]

Yup read that, Cramer is pissing in my corn flakes again. I don't think his ability to influence is as great as it was. But he does have some pull. BQI just issued 30M in stock in a "private placement", at $2.75 a share. The market didn't care for that news. But the fact is the resources are there, they are just under the ground. Without some "partner" news BQI is not likely to win any prizes soon.

KRY, on the other hand. A news release from Ven saying the mining permit has been granted will send shorts to the gillotine.

SIRI yawn

CRUS has moved on it's finally reporting.

I'm about out of ideas. BTW the closing was yesterday, but I have not been paid yet. Financing didn't post before cutoff time.
