Zagdad, I share some of your concerns about Shamus, although possibly to a lesser extent. The thing we need (IMO) is a moderator who is capable of being fair, regardless of their personal views. There was a time when FG would welcome posts that were contrary to his views, as long as they were presented in a manner which was consistent with the TOS.

Personally, I respect his willingness to step forward and give it a shot. I'm willing to give it a chance.

I have said for a long time -

We need a board where the posters must have a minimum number of shares to be able to post ... say 20K or more. I baffles me why anyone who invested in this company would bash it continually (Other than MM). I wouldn't want to have a scuba equipment conversation with someone who has never dove before. It is time to dive in!

Doesn't matter who is the Moderator. They must act fairly and not manipulate, or I will take it over and replace them.

But most folks do it fairly, so there is no issue. You have seen what happens at other times.

It will remain fair to discuss positive and negative views in a civil manner. Plus, he was the first one to step up, so give him a shot.
