My son was in a similar type collision. In a smaller SUV, t-boned at an intersection and tossed many feet into another vehicle, the frame of our SUV visably bent... The insurance companies are still duking that one out, but thanks to seatbelts and airbags, my son walked away with injuries only to his (17 yo) pride.
