has announced that on April 13, 2007 a notice of merger and appraisal rights
related to the merger of SSI with TFX Medical Subsidiary, Inc, (TFX) was mailed
to shareholders of SSI Surgical Services Common Stock as of the Record Date of
April 4, 2007. TFX is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Teleflex
Incorporated and owns more than 90 percent of SSI Common Stock. This notice is
