I was checking the bid and ask frequently through the day. They were always steady at Bid: .0013, Ask: .0018. So at any point today you could have bought at .0018 and sold at .0013.

That is a quite unusually wide spread. For long periods yesterday the spread showed a difference of just .0001. The MMs' game today was to drastically lower the bid price, while holding the ask price steady at yesterday's close. Predictably, the outcome of that was volume at very low levels. Several single trades yesterday exceeded today's total volume of shares.

To sum up today's action by calling it "down 28%"... -- that means taking a short cut, I think.
