Now he does not own the company on paper or in any other way. What he owns (and still appears to be holding) are counterfeit shares in the company. If I print 1 bazzilion certs of MSFT off my computer that doesn't make me Bill Gates.

Eventually the true owners will step forward and prove they are the rightful owners (probably before some court or SEC board) and the counterfeit shares become worthless - at least I think that that is a REASONABLE Assumption and what is REASONABLE usually rules the day in a court.

Now I am still going to buy on Monday but I just want to understand all the risks before I do. I will buy with money I can afford to lose but am hoping that I won't lose it.
