#19277 RE: d4diddy #19266

diddy the Li'l Blue was about the size of a large loaf of bread..it was the same shape as the Valimed Unit. I beleive they refer to the Big Valimed as the "Big D" ... I think that is what they said..because that is what it looks like from the side..

We saw both the Valimed units and the Counterfeit in the suitcase model (that's the one that I thought would be for identifying pills and liquids in the field). The yellow methgun (not to large) and the IV proof of concept machine sitting in the corner..

I also remember Poteet saying that the size any size even smaller is not an issue..but then it has been a few months since that meeting and you know how much hairspray we inhale...so?...lol I guess I shouldn't make to many more statements..

It was really to bad you weren't there taking my place talking to Mr. Poteet...I had his ear and he had mine for about 45 minutes..I'm sure you would have gotten all of your questions (selectively lol) answered..or most of them..

When I saw the mini version of the valimed I thought it was this...which was the updated model

New ValiMed8482 Medication Validation System Demonstrates USP 797 Compliance at ASHP Summer Meeting

The updated version of the ValiMed System – shown for the first time at the ASHP meeting – incorporates reports used to comply with USP 797 requirements.

It also features a modified disposable, requiring a reduced sample volume for testing. “This next-generation ValiMed System addresses customer requests.” notes Product Manager Mark Thrasher.

“It’s more robust and the smaller sample requirement more easily accommodates current pharmacy work flows.”

I also wonder exactly what they mean when it's phrased... valimed hardware.
