Osama is one man, this is a whole terror organisation supported by multitude of characters from Saddam to many serious Arab characters.
Now disgruntled Saudi nationals implication in NY case clearly indicates that the undercurrents of rebellion against house of Saud can find common chord with Saddam. They both want to destroy the precarious balance of power in the ME, they want to be the ultimate power brokers and power centres.
Now like always in any organisation they have a common cause to get moderate out and once that happens they will decide the fate according to their topsy- turvy vision, now let me make you aware of the internal contradictions here between Osama and Saddam, Osama likes to be the Ameer-ul- Momineen that talks of Islamic Pan Islamism and Saddam heads secular bath party which promotes Arab nationalism, these two goals are diametrically opposite but when it comes to clever exploitation of masses they mix, Saddam donned white robes rode on a white horse to tell the Islamic world that he is the reincarnation of Salahuddin Ayubi after invasion of Kuwait.
Now this guy was great conqueror of Islam but he was Kurd, now Islamic world considered invasion of Kuwait as a invasion of new Mohammedans but in actuality it was a secular forces that invaded Kuwait, beer and whisky was immediately opened from day one, and on top of my office we had a night club opened where beautiful Iraqi singer would perform the mosques were burned and loud speakers of the mosques declared as hindrance and environmentally unsound they decimate too much sound at a wrong time but for the Islamic world he became a hero on the white horse, the fools that we are we accept him, the man who gassed Kurds declared himself the descendent of a great Islamic general, the man who closed and burned mosques became a Islamite only to fight US.
Now, look at this and I take you forward to Osama a very different kind of fundamentalist and purist who wants 1400 old Shariah like Taleban rule to be implemented but Saddam wants a secular state with all the niceties and with that power to control oil and the futures and dynastic visions for his sons form Kirkuk.
Osama has delusions of greatness of him being the holy saviours to extremist representing two extremes join hand initially to declare a war against US. Now this is treacherous Islamic politics of terror, the two extremes who will cut each other throat joining hands to destroy the common enemy first, in my opinion Bush has to strike hard on the criminal organisation of the world and he needs by the way people who think all the time, who know intricacies of al this, not many around to help him that is the reason that he will indulge in periphery not the core the core is to instigate domestic action in cutting the funding of the inbred organization in the rich Arab world.
