DD: Cossette Gives Punch to The Fight Network
Blackout Media Corp.'s (PINKSHEETS: BKMP) -- The Fight Network, North America's first and only all-combatant sports and entertainment channel, has launched a TV campaign to lure viewers to its network by -- no surprise -- trying to pick a fight.

A series of 30-second TV commercials feature a 'Joe Average' character who hurls insults and taunts at strangers and passers-by in an attempt to provoke a confrontation.

The spots were created by copywriter Stephen Stahl and art director Mike Cook of Cossette Communication-Marketing, Toronto. They revolve around a deftly delivered, dead-pan performance by actor Tal Zimerman, whose random come-ons, appropriately, pull no punches.

Each spot ends with the question: "Looking for a fight?" followed by The Fight Network's logo and tagline.

"Combat sports are more popular than ever, but a lot of people don't know there's a TV network dedicated to them and everything else fight related. We thought it would be funny to show one of these people," says copywriter Stephen Stahl. "But in this guy's case, he's so desperate for some fight action, he's taken matters into his own hands and has started picking fights with total strangers. If only he knew he could be watching The Fight Network," adds art director Mike Cook.

Capitalizing on the surging interest in the fight sports, The Fight Network has been a huge success since its launch in the fall of 2005. Its audience is dominated by young males between the ages of 18 to 34 years. The Fight Network is a cross-platform media company with brand interest in television, pay-per view, radio, mobile and web. All five of these media are integrated to offer fans of combatant sports and related entertainment a true convergence experience. The Fight Network Inc.'s corporate headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada.
