But your revision discounts the great defense that the Florida Forwards/Guards used to NOT ALLOW clean jumpers. Therefore, as the gameplan was laid, OSU had to rely on Oden, since that was what Billy D wanted to do. Florida wanted to make the game about Oden, he was the best player on the court! Billy D put 3 guys on him to SPECIFICALLY challenge him. Meanwhile, around the perimeter, Donovan had his guards and forwards press like their lives depended on it to eliminate the open jumper/3-pointer.

I think your thinking is flawed when you eliminate the defense of the Florida Gators.
