bobo, American Idol, a reality show has weeks of contestant search footage. Just putting people in a race right away leaves out the reality factor. I think this was planned all along. its the introduction of the contestants to the viewers...a necessity when people are going to be looking for the contestant they are cheering for. Hard to show their personalities driving a car..
Guess You have never watched Ameican idol. Some of the strongest ratings are the contestant search. Who cares about people who can really sing, I want to watch the whack jobs that suck. If I want to watch 'Real' race car drivers I'll watch NASCAR on Sunday Afternoons. What I wnat to see is people who think they can race and try out and look like idots, just like some people on this site who think they know about what is going. This board would make a good reality show.
