Does that really work for a penny stock that the US brokers can't borrow and short from anyway.

I was under the impression that when shorting legit stock a brokerage will first check there own for shares to borrow and then look else where. When an order is pending on existing shares they will not inventory those pending shares for borrowing.

Since all of the main stream brokerages don't allow shorting down here it may do nothing. If the MM's are shorting amongst each other then it would do nothing. If this is NSS then of course nothing..IMO.
