A cost of 0.05 per dose does not take into condideration of cost of past R&D and future R&D. I do not believe in the advertising methods of large pharma to the general public to encourage the public to request or demand the doctors to prescribe these expensive drugs when there are alternative generic available. this adds considerable cost to the drugs.

excel You can cut the cost...

Ask for double the strength and cut the pill in 1/2. Just because the pill is scored doesn't always mean you can split it though. And just because it isn't scored doesn't mean you can't split it. You have to figure it out for yourself, if you can split the pill. Then tell the Dr. when he writes the script what you plan on doing.

I have a friend who flies to Mexico for his drugs. Turned out he was born with a bad heart valve and had his first heart attack at age 25? He's my age now and has been going to Mexico all his adult life for his medicine. He lived in WA. now northern CA. We've been friends since we were teenagers.

I know this other guy. Years ago he got in a bad car wreck. He mail orders his drugs from Canada. Both save a lot of money.

I don't want to go to Mexico. I should look into the Canada mailing but I haven't. I've been splitting my pills. A really nice Dr. turned me on to doing that. Then I had another really nice Dr. who was also a pharmacologist. He was the one who taught me not to pay attention if the pill was scored or not and told me to figure out if I could split them for myself. Not to take anyones word for it. (Dr.s) He was a Proff. I've had to call the manufacturer before, to see if they could be cut in half, as the local pharmacist didn't know on a time released pill. For sure if the pharmacist didn't know a Dr. wouldn't.

I'm thankful for pills. Living better through drugs. LOL
