We have a saying on Yahoo! It started out as a joke, but became our mantra. After someone posted several scenarios about a stock and its possible direction, the author posted several rules about the stock market. One of those rules is:
Rule 8.....I don't know sh^t about tomorrow.
Later, we voted this as Man Law.
I have noticed after atching this board, the lack of humility and the boast of pride many have here. It is quite disturbing, especially when I see a post about the "floor is in" or "we are at the bottom" and then the pps goes down.
With all of the computer modelling, power and knowhow, there is still only a 50% chance of being right. There are unknown variables that can change any situation on a dime that are unforseen. The only thing we know for sure, is the moment we are in and what happened in the past. Hence, the saying, "Past performance is not indicative of future results."
Nothing is for sure, escept death and taxes! So please, curb your enthusiasm and qualify your predictions with, IMO, ML8 or I hope.
Just a suggestion for all of you know it alls!
