winnotlose -- others are better informed than i but my understanding is that you are a holder of record only when the transaction settles. thus, you need to buy three days before the dividend date -- here that would seem to be the 27th but may be the 26th. that said, the rules governing this dividend are not entirely clear -- see earlier posts by others for more. hope this helps. cheers
