Danno123: FIPS covers 4 levels of security. The lowest level is basically no protection needed at all. So that still confuses me.

As for the FTDI chips, I agree - sounds very much like CyberKey's claims.

As far as I can tell by the research over the past couple of days is that the product and software is being provided by Super Talent, and any resident chip is probably a standard, FTDI type chip made by someone else and included in the drives by ST.

There is zero chance that Plant has ever added any value - He's never had the software/firmware people working for him that he'd need in order to develop and implement anything.

Sad mess. Sadder still is that some are holding on, even buying (yellowdog) on the belief that there is a chance that patents exist, that there is some value that CyberKey can offer to the world.
