yes, it is there in prefs. I overlooked it as I always set the 'home page' to blank. I didn't make the connection with other options as you need to pull down the menu to see it. Hmmm, drop down menus aren't that user-friendly when you are looking for option - it's nicer to have them presented to you as radio button choices. I guess drop-downs should be limited to obvious choices within an action - but 'obvious' is in the eye of the user.

And I did search FF help - no help that I could find on the topic. But, maybe I missed it.

In some ways, my 'Force Quit' option is better than the prefs option. By setting the prefs, it 'always' opens old pages by default - with ForceQuit I can choose to open old or start fresh.

Minor point I guess.
