Of course, Wall Street isn't too convinced. In fact, when they see AMD flailing, they pretty much assume that Intel will announce lowered guidance as well.

IMO most of the folks controlling Wall St money wouldn't
know a silicon chip from a potato chip until they bit into it.
After the money numbers change their analysts will look
back and offer technical sounding explanations for those
changes.
