NY Times reported in today's edition that Ted would make a presentation tomorrow. It also mentioned that the system would allow email. That leads me to conclude something other than digeplayer.

Most of the embedded systems being implemented now were planned and negotiated for 1 - 3 years ago... long before the DigEplayer came on the scene. Not all planes will have these expensive embedded systems, and not all seats on the ones that do. I would bet that even the airlines that use the embedded systems will want a cache of DigEplayers. It will be a revenue generating device for them and would insure entertainment for all.
