even Knobias shows the same thing...Frank Stokes to Provide Commentary on Evolution of Duplicate Item Detection at Global Concepts 2007 March Check Forum

Tuesday , March 06, 2007 15:13ET

Mar 06, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- CONIX Systems, Inc.:

What: Due to the implementation of Check 21-enabled technologies and
the growing demand for remote capture, payment systems must
now deal with automated clearinghouse and lockbox items, as
well as image exchanges and IRDs (image replacement
documents). As a result, the number of duplicate items
processed is growing quickly, creating liability risks
associated with inaccurate posting of customer accounts and
charges incurred from presentment of duplicate payments.

Double payment postings can negatively impact a bank's bottom
line due to higher item processing costs, increased research
and adjustment case load, increased management concentration
on exceptions, and rising costs of replacing lost accounts.
In addition, duplicate payment postings can result in
increased customer dissatisfaction, concessions to disgruntled
customers, and the undermining of the bank's image. Each
duplicate can cost the bank in excess of $75.

Who: Frank Stokes, president of the Technology Group for CONIX
Systems, will present the business case for duplicate
detection and the need for a solution that eliminates image
exchange duplicates before they are entered into the payment
system. Stokes will also discuss CONIX Systems' Dupe
Detective, a solution designed to prevent double postings to
customer accounts.

When: Stokes will speak from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 7 at the Global Concepts 2007 March Check Forum. The
forum will be held at the downtown Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta.
